We started out as an electronic engineering company, and today we design and manufacture under one roof.

    Production management

    We start managing production for our engineering clients worldwide.

    We move to Barcelona

    To expand our services, we go from 150 m2 to 1,000 m2.

    We start manufacturing

    We make the leap into manufacturing as an EMS provider, while continuing to design.

  5. 2024

    ISO certifications

    We obtain ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 certification.

  6. 2025

    3D X-ray

    We acquire a 3D X-ray machine to keep improving the quality of our products and to offer new services.

  7. Today

    Engineering and production

    We keep growing, combining our engineering know-how with our own manufacturing capacity.

The people behind it.

Three friends founded Draco in 2004. Between them they cover the whole life cycle of an electronic product: hardware, software and signal processing. Since 2019 they have also manufactured it in their own plant.

  • Meritxell Gimeno

    Meritxell Gimeno

    CEO

    Telecommunications and Electronics Engineer (La Salle URL) and PhD in radar satellite imaging, with research at the European Commission's Joint Research Centre. Before founding Draco she designed electronics for the marine and film industries, and was among the 250 finalists, out of 10,000 candidates, in an astronaut selection. At Draco she keeps everything running: clients, numbers, team and quality. She mentors entrepreneurs and women in technology, because she believes you can't be what you can't see. FIDEM Technology Award 2014. Outside the office: mountains, skiing, sailing and travelling the world.

  • Jordi Posas

    Jordi Posas

    CTO

    Computer Engineer (bachelor's and master's), master's in Computer Vision from the CVC and EMBA (ISEAD). First prize at JOCS (2000). He is the creative one among the founders. He keeps all our IT systems up to date and defines and develops the software architecture and firmware of our custom devices, as well as the test and quality control tools for production. He is the king of the 3D printer: he makes all kinds of jigs and tools that make life easier in production. In love with skiing, the mountains and the sea.

    Joan Puig

    Hardware Manager

    Electronic Engineer (bachelor's and master's). Award for the best junior engineer in Europe (2000), granted by the Catalan Association of Telecommunication Engineers, and award for the best final-year project from the Official College of Technical Telecommunication Engineers. The most faithful to processes, he is responsible for hardware design and for quality control on our production line according to the IPC-A-610 standard. A great lover of motorsport and the mountains.
