  • Metrology System based on Computer Vision

    Description

    IP camera customized for a metrology application in production lines. Through the use of 4 cameras, the profile of the desired product is inspected and validated or discarded based on whether it conforms to the quality parameters set by the manufacturer.

    The analysis of the profiles is done in real time as they are outputted from the production line. Thanks to its Ethernet connection, the cameras send all the information to a server to be stored on a database, giving a total control over the production. Due to the application and sector this camera is designed to be used in, the resolution in the measurements approaches the microns.

    The camera is capable of doing all the processing with images of 6.6 Mpixels. An external monitor can be attached to it to show the result of each inspection and statistics of the current process. Special care has been taken to ease the integration with existing automated systems. Thus, it incorporates a wide spectrum of interfaces and inputs/outputs.
